My architecture is characterised by contextual sensitivity, a minimalist approach reflective of the Australian ethos and experimental use of materials to create a textural richness.

Good architecture connects people and place. My projects seek this out through strong functional spatial planning balanced with thoughtful building detailing.

I believe part of living well is living in spaces that inspire our comfort and delight.

Architecture is the opportunity to make our lives richer and I believe that to be true whether it’s at home in the Australian landscape (where I was the fifth generation to grow up on the family farm in South Australia) or immersed in our cities and urban culture.

I’m currently enjoying mentoring with the Pinnacle Foundation and volunteering as a tour leader with the Australian Architecture Association.

I live and work in Surry Hills and am currently working on projects in Sydney, Greater Sydney, Adelaide, and regional New South Wales and South Australia.

How I work

I provide personalised attention and top-tier design, and my direct connection to projects means I can be adaptive and responsive in my approach.

With a working background spanning architecture and interiors in residential, retail and hospitality, I combine practical and creative approaches to deliver friendly, efficient and high-quality services. The same qualities I like to seek out in my designs.

Collaboration with clients is a cornerstone of my work, and I prefer to engage with comissions across the full-service life cycle, from the initial design stages to the completed building. However, I remain mindful of my clients’ commercial priorities and budgeting restraints and my fee structures are flexible to suit individual projects.

Fees

As a sole practitioner, I am able to offer competitive pricing while maintaining direct access to my expertise. I often propose staged services and blended fee structures, which regularly include:

• fixed fees for stages with deliverables

• hourly rates for consulting work, exploratory design work, negotiated design outcomes and building contract administration.
